Exploring the tapestry of life one post at a time

2024: A Year in Review

Posted on December 31, 2024November 3, 2025 By xosolis

Reflecting on the first half of this year, it felt much like years before. I set goals with enthusiasm, but life quickly fell into the familiar routine. I was still carrying over financial burdens, and my career and fitness goals seemed like distant dreams that I hadn’t yet pursued. For a time, it felt like another year slipping by.

Then, things began to shift, and I’m truly grateful for how this year turned out. Early on, I got to visit some places and make special memories with some of my loved ones. Work brought new opportunities, and I found myself in a different and more fulfilling role, which helped me grow professionally. I also reconnected with some family and friends, deepening those bonds that matter so much. I also underwent eye surgery, which has made my life easier and my vision much clearer and sharper.

One of the highlights was when we adopted two kittens—one in June and the other in November—both of whom quickly became part of our family. They brought so much joy into our days. Apart from that, I also took a step toward my future by enrolling in a course that aligns with my career goals. Investing in myself this way felt empowering.

Mid year, I decided to focus on my health by starting a weight loss journey and keeping a daily gratitude journal. By year’s end, I had lost a significant amount of weight since starting—a transformation that’s had a huge impact on both my physical and mental well-being. I can also proudly say that I was able to save some money. Lastly, after years of being on a fence, I finally got inked and I’m happy about it.

Altogether, these experiences have shown me the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone and prioritising self-care. As the year comes to a close, I feel proud of how far I’ve come. I’m grateful for the commitment I made to show up for myself, and I can see the progress—a healthier, happier version of me, new skills, and stronger connections.

As I look forward to 2025, I feel ready to keep building on this momentum. I’m excited for the goals I’ve set and the growth I know awaits. This year has taught me the value of discipline, positivity, and gratitude, and I’m eager to see where this journey leads. Here’s to another year of becoming the best version of myself. 🧿🪬
