Exploring the tapestry of life one post at a time

28 Years and Blessed šŸŽ‚

Posted on September 21, 2025November 3, 2025 By xosolis

I turned 28 last week, and I’m truly grateful for everything that has happened in my life and for where I am now. I can’t wait to continue this journey and live in a way that, when I look back years from now, I’ll be proud of how I spent my days and the choices I made. My life wouldn’t feel this full, happy, and wonderful without the people and things that I want to celebrate here.

So, here are the people (and little things) I’m thankful for. Thank you for making my life one sprinkled with joy and funfetti.

My boyfriend

Thank you for being my rock and my biggest supporter. You never let me settle for less than my best, and I love that about you. You’ve taught me that love isn’t about perfection or endless tolerance—it’s about honesty, growth, and choosing to help each other become healthier, kinder versions of ourselves. With you, I’ve learned to face hardships as temporary challenges, to see life with more gratitude, and to keep moving forward with determination and hope. Thank you for being exactly who you are—I’m so grateful for you.

Our cats

Our two sweet, silly, and loving fur babies—you’ve brought so much colour into our lives. Rescuing you was one of the best decisions we’ve made, and we can’t wait to give you even more adventures once we move into our own home. Get ready for grass under your paws, trees to climb, and endless treats. I love you both fiercely—I’d even fight off bully cats for you! šŸ˜†

My best friend

I’m so thankful that you’re still here in my life. Every time we talk, I’m reminded of how lucky I am to have you. You see the world with so much joy, compassion, and gratitude, and being with you makes even the simplest things feel special. Thank you for showing me that happiness doesn’t have to be expensive or grand—it’s often found in the little things. My life is brighter because of you.

My friends

I’m grateful for each of you. Our time together always fills me up, and your perspectives on life help me see the world in new ways. Even as we scatter—whether abroad or busy with ā€œadultingā€ā€”I know our friendship will always endure. You’re an extension of me, and I feel so blessed to have you all.

My mum

We haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, but I’m grateful to have you. At the end of the day, having a mother is enough reason for me to be thankful.

My family

I’m proud of my nephew and niece. Seeing their progress—their studies, their lives abroad—fills me with hope that they’ll break cycles and create something better for themselves. Their resilience inspires me.

My job

Five years in and I still feel grateful. I’ve learned so much, grown so much, and been supported by a company that values its people. You’ve given me stability and the chance to live a life I enjoy—so yes, I’ll thank you like you’re a person. šŸ˜†

My choices

The good ones, the bad ones—all of them led me here. I know I haven’t reached my full capacity yet, but I’m on my way. As long as each step moves me forward, I’m already grateful.

My health

I’m thankful for my body, my strength, and the ability to choose a healthier lifestyle every day. I may not be exactly where I want to be yet, but I’m getting closer. More than quick fixes or indulgence, I want longevity: to live well, strong, and full of life even at 60 and beyond.

Turning 28

Not everyone gets the gift of reaching this age, and I don’t take it for granted. I’m thankful to still be here—learning, growing, travelling, working, and living honestly. I’m also grateful that I celebrated my 28th birthday abroad! My dream is simple: a life lived in better conditions, a life lived fully.
