I wasn’t able to take my exam as planned because my partner fell ill the night before. We had to rush to the hospital and ended up staying in the emergency room until early morning. Unfortunately, the exam rules state that no changes—rescheduling or cancellations—are allowed within 48 hours of the test. So, I had to accept being marked as a no-show.
Now, the only option is to schedule a retake, which comes with a hefty cost. Given that, I’ve decided to keep studying while slowly saving up for it. I’m hoping to take the exam sometime in the third quarter. Fingers crossed that there won’t be any more emergencies—finances are tight, and I really have to work hard to afford this second go.
I genuinely hope things will go more smoothly next time. More than anything, I just want my partner and I to stay healthy and safe, without any unexpected events getting in the way. On the bright side, this gives me more time to prepare and study, so I’m choosing to see it as a silver lining.
So yes, I’m kind of back! I’ve got a little space now to post again, though probably not every week, since life’s still pretty full-on. But I’m really glad my partner is well and recovering—that’s what truly matters in the end.
